Ivey closes out 2023 season with pair of Top-10 finishes in Turkey 100 at Swainsboro
On Thanksgiving weekend, Trent Ivey traveled to Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon to pilot the Shurling Motorsports No. G4 for the first night of the $10,000-to-win Turkey 100.
Following the sixth-fastest lap out of 26 Late Models, Trent started the 30-lap preliminary feature from the third row and wound up ninth when the checkered flag flew.
With the $10,000 finale slated for Saturday, Ivey topped his qualifying group and dominated his heat race to earn the pole position in the main event. Leading the first 13 laps of the 50-lap feature, Trent faded late in the feature to land just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
