Early exit in Gaston County Shrine Race at Gastonia

Friday night found Trent Ivey in action at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, N.C.) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Gaston County Shrine Race. Drawing 25 cars, Ivey recorded the 10th fastest time overall, which pinned him on the fifth row for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Running into trouble early, Trent was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the third circuit.

Saturday's event at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
