Trent Ivey attends double Dreams at Eldora Speedway
On Wednesday afternoon, Trent Ivey made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) to kick off four nights of racing with the 27th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. With the 74-car field split into two separate groups for a pair of preliminary features, Trent posted an eighth-place finish in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. With preliminary results on Wednesday setting the grid for heat races on Thursday evening, Ivey slipped back to a 13th-place finish, giving him one last shot at the $127,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream with a B-Main appearance. Slated to start near the tail, Trent was a scratch to save equipment for the remainder of the weekend.
For another round of preliminary features on Friday afternoon, Trent recorded a ninth-place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place fourth or better to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ivey fell short with a ninth-place finish.
Starting in 11th in his heat race on Saturday afternoon, Ivey came in ninth, leaving him with one final chance into the $126,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. Sending the Top 3 into the finale via his B-Main, Trent logged a 10th-place outing.
