Ivey notches runner-up finish in Jack Starrette Memorial at Modoc

Trent Ivey was one of 27 Ultimate Southeast Series entries on hand at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, S.C.) on Saturday afternoon for the 11th annual Jack Starrette Memorial. Timing in second fastest in his qualifying group behind Brandon Overton, Trent locked into the third-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,022 on the line, Ivey wrestled away the lead from polesitter Brandon Overton lap the 11th lap and led the next 24 circuits. Unable to contain Overton’s charge in the final laps, Trent scored a runner-up finish behind Overton with Zack Mitchell, Ross Bailes, and Anthony Sanders rounding out the Top-5.
