Ivey scores sixth place finish in March Madness at Cherokee

On Sunday afternoon Trent Ivey was one of 40 Southern All Star Series entries on hand at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the third annual Ginger Owens March Madness. After timing in eighth fastest in his qualifying group, Ivey posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Trent clawed forward five spots in the 60-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish. (Steve Moore photo)
