Trent Ivey
14th-place finish in Hall of Fame 50 at Cherokee Speedway
Taking part in the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader, Trent Ivey invaded Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) on Friday afternoon for the Charlie Size Memorial. Edging his way into the opening night feature with a fifth place finish in his heat, Ivey locked into the 15th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Getting caught behind a multi-car tangle after a lap-25 caution, Trent was forced pitside for the remainder of the evening. (Richard Barnes photo)
The following night Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.), Trent laid down the ninth fastest time overall in time trials before placing fifth in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Ivey was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the 10th lap.
On Sunday afternoon, Ivey stopped at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Hall of Fame 50. Following the seventh fastest time in qualifying, Trent faded seven spots in the 50-lap feature to place 14th.
