Ivey lands runner-up finish in Shrine Race at Laurens County

On Tuesday evening Trent Ivey was one of 18 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series entries on hand at Laurens County Speedway (Laurens, S.C.) for the Great Southern Homes Shrine Race. With time trials setting the grid for the main event, Ivey topped the speed charts with a blistering lap of 13.189 seconds. Rolling off on the front row, Trent set the pace early for the first 20 circuits until fellow front-row starting Ross Bailes began threatening for the top spot. After Bailes snuck by on lap 27, Trent Ivey held onto a runner-up finish behind Bailes with Zack Mitchell, Dennis Franklin, and Brett Hamm rounding out the Top-5. (Joey Grubb photo)
