Top-10 finish with World of Outlaws at Cherokee Speedway

On Friday afternoon, Trent Ivey visited Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) to pull double duty in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks for the Mike Duvall Memorial V8 Nationals. Drawing 29 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Ivey secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat. Holding his spot for all 50 laps, Trent recorded a sixth-place finish.

In the Crate Late Model ranks, Trent’s fifth fastest qualifying effort on Friday secured his spot into the A-Main on Saturday. With $3,000 on the line, Ivey was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 25.
