Trent Ivey was one of 28 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series entries on hand at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday afternoon for the event co-sanctioned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series. Following the 13th fastest time overall in qualifying, Ivey posted a fourth place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the 30th annual Blue-Gray 100. With $10,000 on the line, Trent faded one spot in the 100-lap affair to register an 11th-place outing.

Saturday night saw Trent Ivey return with the Ultimate Southeast Series at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, N.C.) for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Drawing 19 cars, Ivey secured his spot into the main event with the second fastest lap in his time trial group behind Chris Ferguson. Rolling off fourth, Trent clawed forward one spot in the 40-lapper to place third behind Ross Bailes and Ferguson with Tyler Carpenter and Derrick Ramey rounding out the Top-5.
