Sunday afternoon saw Trent Ivey return to action at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the 29th annual Blue-Gray 100. Drawing 38 cars for the event co-sanctioned by the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series and the Xtreme DIRTcar Winter Series, Trent laid down the seventh fastest lap in his time trial group before placing 3rd in his heat. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ivey lost power steering on the opening lap but battled within the Top-10 for the majority of the race. Trent Ivey was one of 69 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in at the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Thursday night for the Can-Am World Finals. With Mother Nature shortening qualifying to one round, Ivey followed up the 11th fastest time on his first lap with the 15th fastest time.

Starting in fourth in his heat race on Friday, Ivey dropped one spot to place 5th. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Trent came two spots short with a 4th place finish. (TDW Photography)

The following night, Trent fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish. Transferring the Top 2 out of the B-Main, Ivey streaked to a 10-lap consolation victory which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the main event. With $12,000 on the line, Trent was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 22.

Competing in the Crate Late Model ranks, Trent Ivey traveled to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Friday night for the fourth annual Driven Racing Oil World Short Track Championship. With a stout field of 54 cars on hand, Ivey registered the third fastest lap in his time trial group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Michael Brown.

Earning the seventh-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Trent dropped six spots in the 25-lap affair to place 13th.
