 On Friday evening Trent Ivey invaded Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series sanctioned contest. Laying down the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Chris Ferguson, Ivey earned the 2nd-starting position for the opening night feature. Taking control of the lead on lap-14 after Ferguson suffered a flat-tire, Trent cruised to his first career Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory over Ferguson, Dennis Franklin, Daulton Wilson, and Brett Hamm.  The following night at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, South Carolina) for the Jack Starrette Memorial, Ivey logged the 17th fastest time overall in qualifying positioning him on the ninth row for the $5,022-to-win A-Main. He was an early retiree from the 50-lapper while being credited with a 22nd place finish.
