On Saturday night Trent Ivey was one of 29 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series entries signed in at Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) for the 11th annual Ed Gibbons Memorial. Following the fifth fastest time in qualifying, Ivey landed a 2nd place finish behind Brett Hamm in his heat locking him into the 5th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Trent Ivey kicked off the 2019 season on Sunday afternoon at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the rescheduled GigiStrong March Madness from early March. With 30 Southern All Star Series entries registered in for action, Trent laid down the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Jonathan Davenport.
