Following the Xtreme DIRTcar Series, Trent Ivey was one of 21 cars signed in at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) on Sunday afternoon for the $5,000 top prize. Following the fifth fastest lap overall in time trials, Trent posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Chris Madden which sent him into the redraw. Receiving the sixth-starting position, Ivey improved four spots in the 40-lap affair to place 2nd behind Zack Mitchell with Chris Madden, Logan Roberson, and G.R. Smith trailing them to the checkers. On Saturday evening Trent Ivey returned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series for the Grinch at the Gap at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee). In a field of 23 cars, Ivey locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat.
