Saturday night saw Trent Ivey return with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series for the Stick Elliott Memorial at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina). In a field of 20 cars, Ivey recorded the fastest time overall in qualifying locking him on the pole for the main event. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Ivey led wire-to-wire en route to his third win of the season over Derrick Ramey, Jeff Smith, Brett Hamm, and Matthew Nance. He was awarded $4,000 payday for his triumphant efforts.

On Tuesday night Trent Ivey followed the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series to Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) for the 47th annual Gaston County Shrine 100. Earning the 3rd-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main via time trials, Ivey jumped up one spot in the 35-lapper scoring a 2nd place finish behind Brett Hamm with Michael Brown, Dennis Franklin, and Anthony Sanders trailing them to the checkers.
